Studio Memberships

Studio memberships are available only to experienced potters who are currently taking classes @ Glazed and must have Garnet’s approval

We currently are on a waitlist, please email to get added. If you are able to stay in your class, but are just looking for alternative open studio hours, reach out to Garnet.

New member orientation is $25 and is to be coordinated with Garnet. Auto pay, shelf space and door code will be set up during this time as well as a studio tour.

Membership details:

Open Studio Membership: $110/ month, 25 (ish) hours a month = 6 (ish) hours a week, at any time. Personalized keyed entry.

Please limit glaze fired pieces to 1/4 kiln shelf of space a week

*The membership is not intended for production potters

Autopay will be set up with Garnet during orientation

Membership does NOT include

• Instruction, but you are welcome to drop into the intermediate/ advanced classes for $20/ night upon space availability and ask as many questions as you can think of!

• Cleaning, you must be responsible for your own mess

• Firing and Glazing Cost:

  Reclaim $25, Stoneware $35, Porcelain $45, approved personal clay $20. This price includes basic glazes, firing, and loading per 25lb bag of clay

  Glaze pieces that exceed 5in in any direction will be an extra $1/in, this covers bisq and glaze fire (please refer to the measurement box on the glazing table). This will be payed via venmo as “Firing Fee”

• Ware boards, these can be bought or made. The Restore is a good place to find material, Continental Clay has wood ones for sale, do not use dry wall as the mold is toxic.

*Glaze drips on kiln shelves will be charged as follows:
$25 for the first time
$50 for the second time
$100 for a shelf that needs to be replaced (drip causes more than a minor surface scuff)

Pay this via Venmo as shelf fee.
We will not fire more of your pieces until this is paid.

All pieces must have some sort of makers mark.
To avoid drips, we highly suggest making cookies for all your pots you are concerned about. We can show you how to make these.

*Once a month you must remove all items from your shelf and wipe all dust off with a damp sponge.

*Memberships can be revoked for any reason without a refund, be respectful and clean up after yourself!

*We have lots of shared tools but you are always welcome to keep your own tool box and invest in some fun new tools!

*Studio access may be closed on deep clean days or for events and is restricted to overflow space during classes.

*Prices are raised yearly to keep up with costs.
